Pamuk
Kolay işlenebilen liflerin başında gelen pamuk en çok tercih
edilen dolgu ve kumaşlar arasındadır. Dokuma işlemi sırasında
çok fazla kimyasal işleme maruz kalmadan doğallıklarını ve
yumuşaklıklarını korur. Dayanıklı bir malzeme olan pamuk
oldukça yumuşaktır.
• Pamuğun havayı içine hapsetmesi, kumaşa yalıtım özelliği
kazandırır
• Keten ve yün ile birlikte tekstilde kullanılan en eski elyaftır.
• 1271 yılında Marco Polo tarafından Avrupa’ya getirilmiştir.
Cotton
Cotton, one of the leading easily processed fibres, is also among
the most preferred fillers and fabrics. During the weaving
procedure, cotton preserves its neutrality and softness without
much exposure to chemical processing. Cotton which is a durable
material is also very soft in the structure.
• Cotton’s air trapping inside gives insulation feature to the
fabric.
• Along with wool and linen, cotton is one of the oldest fiber
used in textile manufacturing.
• It was brought to Europe by Marco Polo in 1271.
